The combination of a 3,000 kg motor vehicle and an 800 kg trailer adds up to 3,800 kg. With a B licence you can drive such a combination, of up to 4,250 kg, if you first pass the test or training for code 96 (Article 5 of the General Driver Regulations). How long you have held the licence makes no difference.
