The B licence allows you to tow a trailer of more than 750 kg as long as the MAM of the combination does not exceed 3,500 kg. Under Article 5.5 of the General Driver Regulations (Reglamento General de Conductores), if the combination exceeds 3,500 kg, up to 4,250 kg, you must also pass a specific test; above that, you need a B+E licence.
