Motorcycles must have a vertical or almost vertical plate, on the vehicle's central lengthwise line. On motorcycles without a sidecar it goes in the centre, above the rear mudguard; on those with a sidecar it goes between the two rear wheels and as high as possible. They do not need a plate at the front.
