According to Article 12.1 of the General Traffic Regulations (as worded by Royal Decree 518/2026), on motorcycles with a sidecar the following may travel in addition to the rider: the sidecar passenger and, if this is stated on the vehicle registration certificate, a passenger on the rear seat. Only one person travels in the sidecar.
