Defensive driving lets you collect all the information needed to drive safely, always be ready to react quickly to anything unexpected and adapt your driving to the conditions around you. It is an attitude to driving that lets us drive more safely. It is based on the techniques of vision (looking far ahead and checking the mirrors often), anticipation (not trusting others and being ready to act) and space (keeping good distances in front, behind and to the sides).
