Under Article 117 of the General Traffic Regulations (RGC), minors who are 135 cm tall or less must travel in the rear seats with a child restraint system suited to their height and weight. They may only travel in front in exceptional cases: if there are no rear seats, if the rear seats are taken by other minors, or if the child seats do not fit.
