One of the most common causes of distraction at the wheel is using navigation systems or GPS. Drivers must be able to control their vehicles at all times. If we operate the GPS while driving, we are not meeting this very important obligation and it is easy to have an accident. To stop the GPS becoming a distraction, we should: plan the journey before starting it (do not operate it while moving); listen to the voice instructions (avoid looking at the screen); let the driver's judgement prevail at all times. Although the navigator can help us control our speed, the main source of information must be the speedometer.
