The correct answer is to make way for it, stopping if necessary, because under Article 69 of the General Traffic Regulations, when drivers notice a priority vehicle on an emergency call, they must take suitable steps to let it through. This includes stopping if necessary, normally moving over to the right so as not to block it. Breaking this rule is a serious offence.
