Explanation

Under Article 86.2 of the General Traffic Regulations (RGC), the driver being overtaken may not speed up or make overtaking difficult, and must slow down if a danger arises during the manoeuvre. If the overtaking driver gives up, the driver being overtaken does not have to slow down if that is dangerous, but must help the other driver return to their lane.
