Under Article 18.2 of the General Traffic Regulations (RGC) (as worded by Royal Decree 518/2026), driving with headphones or earphones connected to sound-receiving or sound-playing devices is prohibited. The exception is certified or approved wireless devices built into the protective helmet of motorcycle and moped riders, used only for intercom or navigation.
