Under Article 31 of the General Traffic Regulations, on carriageways with three or more lanes in each direction, vehicle combinations more than 7 metres long normally use the right-hand lane and may use the lane immediately to its left when circumstances make it advisable. At 80 km/h they meet the signed minimum speed.
