The main causes of children being hit are: - Their field of vision is limited because they are short. - Hearing problems (children under 7 cannot tell where a vehicle is coming from by its sound). - Poor control of attention (they are busy playing). - They often confuse seeing with being seen. - They do not know the rules (signs and correct behaviour). At the end of the school day they come out more excited, wanting to run and play, and they pay less attention.
