Correct answer
- ANo, debe circular por la calzada. No, it must use the carriageway.
Explanation
As a general rule, motorcycles, like all motor vehicles, must use the carriageway and not the hard shoulder, except in an emergency. Since 1 October 2026 there is an exception: on signed stretches, when traffic is stopped by congestion, they may use the right-hand hard shoulder, at a maximum of 30 km/h and in single file.
