Under Article 117.3 of the General Traffic Regulations, children 135 cm tall or shorter travel in the rear. They may only travel in the front, in their approved restraint system, if there are no rear seats, if the rear seats are occupied by other children or if the child seats do not fit; with a rear-facing seat, the airbag must be deactivated.
