On roads outside built-up areas you must always use the right-hand lane. On one-way carriageways with more than one lane in the same direction, you may use the other lanes when you intend to overtake, and stay in the lane you used to go on overtaking other vehicles, provided you do not disturb the vehicles behind you. Once you have finished overtaking, you must return to the right-hand lane. If the vehicle in the picture does not intend to overtake, it must return to the right-hand lane and drive in it.
