Explanation

Under Article 130.4 of the General Traffic Regulations, every driver must use the regulation hazard warning device. Since 1 January 2026 this is the V-16 light. It is placed on the highest possible point of the immobilised vehicle, whatever the type of road; warning triangles are no longer valid.
