Explanation
Under Article 127.1 of the General Traffic Regulations (RGC), animals travel on the right-hand hard shoulder or as close as possible to the right-hand edge, and herds never take up more than the right-hand half of the carriageway. Only as an exception, and for greater safety, may a single animal be led on the left.
