When we drive at a speed that does not suit the weather, the road, the traffic, the vehicle or the driver's condition, we are driving at an inappropriate speed. Our speed may be within the limits allowed for the road, yet if a problem arises we may find it very hard to control the vehicle. For example, there are usually more accidents on rainy days because many drivers drive at the same speed as on a sunny day: the speed is permitted, but inappropriate for rain.
