You must take suitable steps to let vehicles on an emergency call pass, depending on the circumstances of the moment and the place. Sometimes you will need to move the vehicle close to the right-hand edge of the carriageway, and other times to stop. Priority vehicles show they are on an emergency call with the flashing light and the siren. As an exception, they may use the flashing light alone when not using the siren is no danger to other road users. (With the flashing light alone they already have priority.)
