A combination of vehicles more than 7 metres long may not use the third lane on roads outside built-up areas, but it may do so in built-up areas. In built-up areas we may use the lane that best suits our destination, unless the lanes are not marked; in that case we must keep to the right and use the other lanes when traffic or road conditions make it advisable.
