The position lights must come on automatically when the vehicle has dipped headlights, main beam or fog lights on. When driving, they must always be used together with one of these. We must switch them on between sunset and sunrise, or in weather or environmental conditions that reduce visibility: * when stopped on the carriageway or hard shoulder of any road, including tunnels, underpasses or enclosed places; * also when parked: - on a hard shoulder that cannot be driven on, on a road outside a built-up area; - on the carriageway or hard shoulder of a poorly lit travesía; - on the carriageway or hard shoulder of a road in a built-up area, when the lighting does not let other road users see the vehicle from a sufficient distance.
