According to Article 88 of the General Traffic Regulations (RGC), as worded by Royal Decree 518/2026, even where overtaking is forbidden, you may move into the opposite side of the road to overtake cycles, mopeds, pedestrians or animals when their speed allows you to do so without risk, keeping a side gap of 1.5 metres.
