Loading and unloading must be done off the road. As an exception, when it is unavoidable to do it on the road, it must be done without causing danger or serious disruption to other road users and following these rules: - The rules on stopping and parking must be respected and, in built-up areas, the rules set by the local authorities on suitable times and places. - Where possible, it must be done on the side of the vehicle nearest the edge of the carriageway. - It must be done with enough means to finish as quickly as possible, avoiding unnecessary noise and disturbance. - Goods may not be placed on the carriageway, the hard shoulder or pedestrian areas.
