Correct answer
- CPara reducir la velocidad al salir de una autopista. For slowing down when leaving a motorway (autopista).
Article 77 of the General Traffic Regulations states that to leave a motorway (autopista), dual carriageway (autovía) or other road, the driver must use the lane closest to the exit in good time and enter the deceleration lane as soon as possible, if there is one. The main purpose of this lane is to let vehicles slow down gradually and safely before joining the exit road, avoiding a sudden change of speed and keeping traffic flowing. It is not a lane for slow vehicles (crawler lane) or the lane usually used for overtaking.
