Draught, pack or saddle animals and loose livestock must move along the right-hand hard shoulder and, if they have to use the carriageway, as close as possible to its right-hand edge; as an exception, a single animal may be led along the left-hand edge if this is safer. They may use all roads, although they should try to use roads with less traffic. The exception is motorways and dual carriageways, where they are completely prohibited.
