If a police vehicle comes up behind you and switches on a device with a red light flashing forwards, what must you do?

A red light flashing forwards from a police vehicle behind you tells the driver to stop on the right-hand side, in front of the police vehicle, in a place without risk, and to follow the officer's instructions (Annex I of the General Traffic Regulations). Getting out of the vehicle without being told to is not correct.
