A correctly adjusted head restraint prevents whiplash, which happens especially in rear-end collisions. It can cause a neck sprain, one of the most common injuries in road accidents, which causes pain and injuries in the neck area. Almost a quarter of accident victims suffer it. For the head restraint to be correctly adjusted: - Height: the top of the head restraint should be level with the top of the head (its widest part should be at eye level). - Distance: the gap between the head and the head restraint should be as small as possible (never more than 4 cm).
