The airbag is a very safe passive safety system, but to avoid harmful effects, keep the following in mind: - It complements the seat belt, so they must always be used together. - The airbag should be about 25 cm from your body, and never less than 10 cm. - Do not place objects near the airbag or put your legs on the dashboard: when the airbag goes off, this could cause very serious injuries. - When you use a rear-facing child restraint system in a seat with an airbag, you must deactivate the airbag.
