Correct answer

  • CCuando los otros carriles estén ocupados y no obstaculice a los vehículos que circulan detrás.When the other lanes are occupied and you do not hold up the vehicles behind you.
Explanation

Outside built-up areas, on carriageways with more than one lane for our direction, we normally drive in the lane furthest to the right, although we may use the others when traffic or road conditions make it advisable, provided we do not hold up the vehicles behind us. With three or more lanes, lorries, vans and special vehicles with a MAM over 3,500 kg, and combinations of vehicles more than 7 metres long, must drive in the right-hand lane; they may exceptionally use the lane next to it, but never the others.
