Under Article 48 of the General Traffic Regulations, lorries and vans, even if they have a mass of 3,500 kg and are driven with a B licence, may travel at a maximum of 90 km/h on motorways (autopistas) and dual carriageways (autovías) and 80 km/h on conventional roads.
