Correct answer
- CSí, si se guarda al menos 1,5 metros de separación lateralYes, if you leave at least 1.5 metres of lateral clearance
As a general rule, crossing a continuous line is prohibited. However, there is a legal exception intended to protect the most vulnerable road users. To overtake cyclists, mopeds, pedestrians, animals and animal-drawn vehicles, you may cross the continuous line (moving fully or partly into the opposite lane), provided that two essential requirements are met: 1. The manoeuvre is carried out without danger or hindrance to vehicles coming in the opposite direction. 2. A minimum lateral clearance of 1.5 metres is kept. This exception applies even if there is a no-overtaking road sign, unless the manoeuvre puts other road users at risk.
