Under Article 91 of the General Traffic Regulations, stopping and parking in places that are dangerous or seriously obstruct traffic, such as traffic channelling islands, are prohibited. These islands are designed to improve road safety and help traffic flow, so stopping or parking on them would affect traffic and could put other road users at risk.
