The Traffic Regulations state that the driver and occupants of taxis like the one in the picture must wear approved seat belts, properly fastened, both in and outside built-up areas. As an exception, in built-up areas, taxis may carry people shorter than 135 centimetres without an approved restraint device suited to their height and weight, as long as they sit in a rear seat.
