Stopping and parking on central reservations, dividers, traffic islands or other traffic channelling features are considered dangerous. In built-up areas the hard shoulder is used for parking, and outside built-up areas we may also use it if it is not usable for traffic. In loading and unloading areas you may stop, and outside their hours of use you may park.
