Correct answer

The hazard warning device is used together with the hazard warning lights, by day and by night, if the vehicle has them. In bad weather, or between sunset and sunrise, you must also switch on the sidelights. The V-16 hazard warning device is an approved amber-yellow light with geolocation. It runs on its own power supply (batteries). It must be placed on the highest point of the broken-down vehicle, to make it as visible as possible. Today the V-16 is the only legal way to signal a broken-down vehicle or an obstacle on the road. Warning triangles are no longer used.
