On motorcycles and mopeds, as well as the driver, one passenger may travel, provided the vehicle's licence or registration certificate allows it, the passenger is over 12 and wears a helmet. As an exception, children over 7 may ride on motorcycles or mopeds driven by their father, mother or guardian, or by adults authorised by them, as long as they wear an approved helmet.
