Correct answer
- AQue el vehículo quede inmóvil por necesidades de la circulación.When the vehicle is brought to a standstill because of traffic needs.
In the RGC, a halt (detención) means bringing the vehicle to a standstill because of traffic needs, such as giving way at a stop sign or a traffic light. It differs from an ordinary stop (parada) or from parking, because it involves an obligation to stop at a signal and wait until it is safe to move off again. The correct answer refers to situations where stopping is compulsory, which are covered by the rules on stop signals and on respecting other vehicles' priority, as shown by the continuous transverse line (M-4.1).
