Regarding driver assistance systems, how does the advanced AEB-PCD system, or emergency braking for pedestrians and cyclists, work?
It brakes the vehicle if it detects an emergency involving pedestrians or cyclists.
It gives a sound warning if it detects a risk of collision with cyclists or pedestrians, but it does not brake the vehicle.
It changes the vehicle's path by acting on the steering, but not on the braking system.

AEB-PCD is an advanced driver assistance system designed to prevent collisions with pedestrians and cyclists or at least make them less serious. This system: 1. detects pedestrians and cyclists in front of the vehicle using cameras and sensors; 2. assesses the risk of collision in real time; 3. if it detects an emergency and the driver does not react in time, it automatically applies the brakes to stop the vehicle or greatly reduce its speed.
