Under Article 117 of the General Traffic Regulations, a child 135 cm tall or less may sit in the front, in their restraint system, if the vehicle has no rear seats, if all rear seats are occupied by other such children, or if no more restraint systems fit. If the seat is rear-facing, the airbag must be switched off.
