When a vehicle with a maximum authorised mass (MAM) over 3,500 kilograms, a bus or a combination of vehicles is parked on a noticeable slope, its driver must leave it properly chocked, either by placing wheel chocks or by resting one of the steering wheels against the kerb. If we park a car on a slope, as well as leaving the parking brake on, we must: - Engage the right gear: first gear on an uphill slope and reverse on a downhill slope, or, where applicable, the parking position.
