Correct answer
- CSí, aumenta la distancia de frenado.Yes, it increases braking distance.
Besides reducing visibility, rain makes the carriageway wet and reduces grip, so the distance travelled while braking is longer than on a dry road. Braking distance is the distance the vehicle travels from the moment the driver applies the brake until the vehicle stops. It can vary depending on speed, the condition of the tyres, suspension and brakes, the vehicle's load, the road conditions and the weather. In rain, braking distance can be up to 2 times longer, and on ice or snow up to 10 times longer.
