As a general rule, loading and unloading must be done off the road. If it is essential to do it on the road, these rules must be followed: if possible, do it from the side of the vehicle nearest the edge of the carriageway; respect the rules on stopping and parking and, in built-up areas, the rules on times and places; never put goods on the carriageway, the hard shoulder or pedestrian areas; use the necessary means to do it quickly, avoiding danger, noise and unnecessary nuisance.
