Correct answer
- CNo.No.
Under Article 119.2 of the General Traffic Regulations (RGC) (as worded by RD 518/2026), in built-up areas only drivers and passengers of vehicles on an emergency call are exempt from wearing a seat belt, so neither the taxi driver nor the passengers are exempt. The only special rule is that, in urban traffic or urban areas of large cities, a taxi may carry people shorter than 135 cm in a rear seat without a restraint device suited to their height and weight.
