As a general rule, when checking it, it should be given the highest of the pressures recommended by the manufacturer, so that it is ready to use in an emergency. There is no point in carrying a spare wheel if, when you get a puncture, it is flat or its tread is in poor condition. Preventive maintenance means checking the condition and pressure of all five tyres.
