Correct answer
- BPor el arcén, si es transitableOn the hard shoulder, if it is usable
The correct answer is on the hard shoulder, if it is usable. Under the General Traffic Regulations, vehicles accompanying cyclists must adjust their speed to that of the bicycles. Since their speed will be below the minimum allowed, or abnormally low, in order to stay with the group, they must drive on the hard shoulder whenever it is usable and wide enough. The aim is twofold: 1. Safety: they protect the rear of the group of cyclists. 2. Traffic flow: by keeping to the hard shoulder, they avoid needlessly blocking the main traffic lane for other drivers.
