The V-16 hazard warning device is an approved amber-yellow light with geolocation. It runs on its own power supply (batteries). It must be placed on the highest point of the immobilised vehicle, to make it as visible as possible. Today the V-16 is the only legal way to signal an immobilised vehicle or an obstacle on the road. Warning triangles are no longer used.
