The boot is the part of the vehicle mainly intended for carrying luggage, packages and loads in general. It is safer because it is separate from the passenger compartment. Inside the passenger compartment, things can be thrown forward in sudden braking or a crash and injure the occupants. We will only use the roof rack when strictly necessary, because heavy and bulky objects on it can make the vehicle unstable and even make it roll over. It also increases fuel consumption, even without a load.
