Under Article 117.3 of the General Traffic Regulations, these children may only travel in the front, in their restraint system, if there are no rear seats, if all the rear seats are occupied by other children with restraint systems, or if the child seats cannot be fitted there. With a rear-facing seat, the airbag must be deactivated.
