In tunnels and on stretches with the 'Tunnel' sign (S-5), lights are compulsory at any time. If the tunnel is sufficiently lit, Article 101.1 of the General Traffic Regulations requires dipped (short-range) headlights as well as sidelights. The fog light is only used in fog or other conditions that reduce visibility.
