The airbag is a very safe passive safety system, but to avoid harmful effects we must bear the following in mind: - It complements the seat belt, so they must always be used together. - It is advisable for the airbag to be about 25 cm from the body, and never less than 10 cm. - Avoid placing objects near the airbag or putting your legs on the dashboard. When the airbag goes off, very serious injuries could occur. - When using a rear-facing child restraint system in a seat with an airbag, we must deactivate the airbag.
